Wealth Management & Asset Management

We provide a wide range of wealth management services to a diverse range of clients and our client facing roles are concentrated in the areas of financial planning, active investment management and short-term trading. While many of our recruits will have business qualifications, we also encourage academic excellence in other disciplines or candidates with relevant industry experience. Strong communication skills are essential. We emphasise teamwork, excellence, customer service and the willingness to take personal initiative and responsibility. An understanding of financial markets and the ability and appetite to assess risk will be important.

Capital Markets

This business area is made up of Corporate Broking, Equity Sales, Equity Sales Trading, Equity Trading, Fixed Income Sales and Equity Research. Candidates will have an interest in the stock market and are generally from a business, economics or accounting degree background. Candidates with an accountancy qualification or studying the Chartered Financial Analyst exams are also of interest. Expertise in a particular sector achieved through industry experience in one of our core areas of coverage is an advantage within our equity research area. Staff need to be highly numerate with a strong analytical mind-set aligned with a friendly, outgoing personality. A significant amount of international travel is typically associated with these roles.

Corporate Finance

This area of the business deals with advising clients on company mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and public/private fundraisings, corporate restructurings and strategic advice. The corporate finance team consists of professionals with a range of backgrounds and expertise including accounting, finance, economics, engineering, science and banking. The team looks for hard working and motivated recruits, with a background in finance or accounting. Corporate Finance roles involve working on a range of projects across a span of different industries.

Operations

Goodbody Operations consists of a team of people across a broad range of disciplines. The team is responsible for the delivery of Finance, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Operational Control, Equity and Wealth Management Operations, Information Technology, Business Support & Change, Facilities Management and a Middle Office which focusses on settlement and clearing transactions. Whilst relevant professional and/or academic qualifications are required within the respective areas, we look for candidates who are innovative, ambitious, analytical, self-motivated and outgoing. We seek individuals who can consistently deliver a high level of service to our internal and external customers. A keen interest in financial services and stockbroking is desirable.
