Goodbody Capital Partners is a private equity manager that primarily manages AIB’s private equity investment activities by investing directly into established companies (Direct Investments) and in seed, venture capital and private equity funds (Fund Investments).

Direct Investments

We invest in companies with strong management teams looking to achieve their strategic growth ambitions.

What we look for:

  • Established businesses operating primarily in Ireland seeking to raise capital to achieve specific growth objectives (acquisition, entry into a new geographic market, access public equity markets).
  • Sector agnostic, however, there is a particular focus on key sectors of the Irish economy.
  • Typical investment size of c.€5 millon - €40 million for non-controlling stakes.

Fund Investments

We support early and growth stage companies through investment in seed, venture and private equity funds.

What we look for:

  • Typical investment size of c.€5 million - €20 million.
  • Sectorial focus on:
    - Technology.
    - Life sciences.
    - FinTech.
    - Real assets (renewable energy, social infrastructure).
    - Macro (growth equity into mid-market high growth Irish businesses).
