Forage virtual work experience programmes (also called virtual internships or remote internships) are multi-part programmes that are exclusively online and provide taste of what working in a particular field and at a specific company would be like. The courses are available at no cost to students and can be accessed 24/7. Typically, each course will take between 4-6 hours to complete.
Yes! When you complete your final tasks, you’ll earn a certificate that shows that you have completed the Goodbody virtual work experience programme, for the module or modules of your choosing. The Goodbody wealth management virtual work experience tasks e-learners with professional tasks that you would complete as a wealth manager working with clients daily. In order to successfully complete tasks you’ll have to combine analytical skills, problem solving acumen and effective communication. Think of this course as a remote internship that you’ll complete over the course of four self-paced sections. On average, most participants complete the course in 5-6 hours but you can complete the course entirely at your own speed. After you submit your final assignment, you will receive a certificate that can be shared with your LinkedIn network and added to your CV.
Interested in stock picking? We’ve put together an introductory course that is suitable for anyone aged 14 and up, especially secondary school and transition year students. The course focuses on key terminology, the stock selection process and market trends. This course consists of four modules, with each section building upon the knowledge gained in previous units. The programme culminates with the task of building your own virtual portfolio. The course is only available online and will take about 4-5 hours to complete. Once all tasks have been completed, you’ll be awarded a certificate of completion. The Goodbody Investment Banking - Corporate Advisory (CA) virtual work experience programme will provide you with a broad introduction to the type of work that you’ll be doing as a CA Analyst. You’ll get started by learning key terminology as well as by developing an understanding of funding sources and valuation methods. Additionally, you’ll learn about Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). The course concludes with the opportunity to create a proposal, which explores the business development side of this role.
