Simon joined Goodbody Corporate Finance in 2000 and became Head of Wealth Management in 2016. Simon was appointed as an Executive Director in 2022 and has been a member of the Goodbody Executive Team since 2011. He previously worked with Merrill Lynch International and eircom Group plc. and holds a B.Comm, University College Dublin and MBS in Finance from Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

Michelle has extensive experience in the financial services sector and has held senior positions within this industry over a 30 year period. She has particular expertise in the areas of Advisory, Wealth Management, Financial Planning and family office offerings. Michelle holds a Post Grad Dip in Financial Services, has a Diploma in Company Direction from the IOD and holds qualifications as a CFP, SIA, Registered Stockbroker and QFA. She is currently responsible for the growth an expansion of the Wealth Management, financial planning and high net worth offering across Goodbody’s offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway and the oversight and management of the sales and advisory teams within Goodbody Wealth.

Joe joined Goodbody in 2019. As Head of Investment Strategy, he is responsible for managing the firm’s wealth management investment process. Prior to joining Goodbody, Joe spent 21 years at Credit Suisse based in London and Zurich. With a B.A. in Economics from University College Dublin and an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, Joe is a certified investment fund director and has been a visiting researcher at the Brevan Howard Center for Financial Analysis at Imperial College London.

David Clarke joined Goodbody in 2000. As Head of Property in Goodbody Wealth Management he is responsible for the implementation of the Real Estate investment strategies of Goodbody Wealth Management clients. Prior to joining Goodbody, David spent six years working as a general practice surveyor in Dublin. David is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Surveying) from Trinity College, a Property Economics Degree from TU Dublin and a diploma in Business Studies from UCD.

Ken Darmody joined Goodbody in 1997. As Head of Transformation and Digital Channels, he is responsible for Goodbody Connect (Self Directed Investment Platform), Goodbody Personal (Financial Planning and Advice team) and the Digital Transformation of Goodbody Wealth Management. Ken is a member of the Wealth Management Senior Management Team, Goodbody Change Leadership Committee and Co-Sponsor to the Achieving Gender Balance Network at Goodbody. He originally qualified as an accountant and completed an Executive MBA in UCD Michael Smurfit.

David joined Goodbody in 2006. As Commercial Director, David is responsible for commercial operation of Wealth Management, covering strategic, financial, regulatory and operational matters. Prior to joining Goodbody, David spent 11 years at Accenture, where he was a senior manager in financial services.

David holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University College Cork and is a registered representative of the Irish Stock Exchange.

Padraig Rourke joined Goodbody in 2000. Goodbody is one of the few wealth managers in Ireland with a direct equity trading desk and as head of the Active Trading Desk, Padraig is responsible for managing a team of nine people. This desk has a strong track record and deals with many financial markets professionals, corporate executives and high net worth individuals. Padraig has over 20 years’ experience in this role and has served on the Wealth Management senior management team for the past six years. Prior to joining Goodbody, Padraig spent three years at Invesco Asset Management. Padraig holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the University of Limerick, graduating in 1997.

Denise joined Goodbody in 2024 and previously spent 13 years as Chief Executive of Temple Street Foundation, generating significant growth in income and completing a merger with CMRF Crumlin, the first of its kind in Ireland. She was then appointed Chief Executive of the newly merged Children’s Health Foundation, leading a significant transformation programme, integrating teams, developing the brand, organisational strategy, and new income streams.

Denise currently serves on the strategic planning implementation committee of The Camogie Association, the Board of LIFT (Leading Ireland’s Future Together), and the Fundraising & Marketing Committee of Pieta. She has been a member of the Dublin Chamber Policy Council since 2016, serving on the Labour Task Force.

Neil joined Goodbody in 1987 and has a strong record of providing bespoke investment solutions across a range of different clients, including charities, corporates, individuals, and pension funds. With over 35 years of stockbroking experience, Neil has seen several different economic and investment cycles and has helped many clients through uncertain times. Neil sits on our Asset Allocation Committee and Charity Committee, where his experience brings valuable insights.

Maura joined Goodbody in 2012 and has 34 years of experience in wealth management, having previously worked in institutional investment management and stockbroking. She manages portfolios for individuals and corporate clients, with a particular interest in the not-for-profit sector, having built a significant network in the charity sector.

Maura is a Qualified Accountant (FCCA) a member of the Irish Taxation Institute (A.I.T.I.), a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and a Registered Stockbroker. She received an ACCA certificate in Sustainability for Finance in October 2022. Maura is a previous Chair of ACCA Financial Services Committee and was voted ACCA Advocate of the Year 2021/2022.

David Bergin joined Goodbody in 2001 and has over 23 years’ experience as a trusted wealth management expert. David works on the Active Trading desk and deals with many financial market professionals, corporate executives and high net worth individuals. Now as director of our Galway office, David has built on those skills, ensuring our clients receive expert investment, financial planning and pensions advice using all the resources and capabilities within Goodbody. David holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and Languages from NCI, graduating in 2001, along with a Diploma in Wealth Management from NCI, a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation and a professional designation as a Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
