Complete your application online, upload your ID and proof of address, and sign your agreement electronically. Our Account Opening Team will review it, and provided your documentation is correct, your account can be set up within three working days. For account-opening queries, call +353 1 641 6044.
€5,000, made up of cash, existing investments, or a combination of both. Funds can take up to two days to appear in your account after reaching Goodbody’s bank account.
An annual account maintenance fee of €100 plus 23% VAT applies. Commission on trades is €25 minimum, 1% up to €25,000, and 0.50% on the balance. Other charges may apply — see our full Terms of Business.
Standard market hours are Ireland and UK 08:00–16:30, and US 14:30–21:00. Goodbody’s own trading hours run 08:00–17:30 — orders placed outside these times are processed once trading next resumes.
Yes. Once your account is open, shares held with another broker, or certificates held independently, can be transferred in after completing the relevant transfer documentation.
Yes — for anything practical. What they won’t do is tell you what to buy or sell; that call stays with you.
