With Goodbody for over 15 years, Padraig is a founding member of the Active Trading Desk. A highly experienced trader, his team of traders manage the Goodbody CFD and trading client offering through its high-touch offering with a focus on direct equities. He has a strong following from a number of Ireland’s top trading clients and he manages both speculative clients and conservative mandates.

David is a senior trading strategist on the Active Trading Desk. As an expert in the field of technical analysis, he provides sophisticated and bespoke trading calls to his clients. David’s knowledge of the technical side of the market allows him to formulate trading strategies such as range trading, momentum trading, pair trading and catalyst trading. 

John joined Goodbody over 15 years ago and has spent his whole career with the company. Previous roles include Equity, CFD and fixed income trading as well as Corporate Finance. Using his Corporate Finance experience, John specialises in working with company executives on their wealth management needs but he also services a wide variety of different clients types by combining market timing and both fundamental and technical analysis to capitalise on trading opportunities.

Liam joined Fexco Stockbroking in 1999 where he worked his way from floor trading on the Irish Stock Exchange to overall Head of Trading. He joined Goodbody’s Active Trading Desk in 2011 where he manages a portfolio of private clients, corporates and charities. Liam uses a combination of technical analysis and fundamental research to formulate his trading strategies and capitalise on short term investment opportunities.

Dara has been with Goodbody for over 15 years and has been part of the Active Trading Desk since its inception. He has significant experience in high touch trading on behalf of his clients’ wealth and deals on a day to day basis with a select number of private Individuals, companies and pension funds.

After a decade of successful short-term trading for private and corporate clients in Goodbody, Jerome is now the Active Trading Desk’s dedicated Trading Strategist. His role involves in-depth stock and market analysis to help generate trading ideas for Active trading clients who want to deploy short-term trading strategies. He is also lead investment strategist on Best 8, an active portfolio made up of Goodbody’s best stock ideas. 

With over 25 years' trading experience in both bonds and equities, Shane trades on behalf of a number of high net worth clients. He spent 10 years in AIB Group Treasury trading European Government Bonds and interest rate swaps. His experience gives him a leading edge in all aspects of wealth management, which has led to a strong following from market professionals.
